Joel McHale and Sarah Hyland are the latest venturers into the spooky world of Dimension 404, Hulu’s upcoming sci-fi anthology series.
“Excited to welcome @joelmchale and @sarah_hyland onboard for Dimension 404!” executive producer Freddie Wong wrote on Twitter. Dimension 404 will feature six standalone episodes exploring the wild, unexplainable corners of the Internet.
McHale (Community) will appear in the episode starring Lea Michele and Robert Buckley, Variety reported, where he’ll play Mr. Maker, the kooky creator of the matchmaking service that brings the young couple together. In a different episode, Hyland (Modern Family) stars as a high school student Claire, who — along with her yet-to-cast uncle — sets out to experience “Cinethrax,” a dangerous and strange new cinematic format.
It was previously announced that Ryan Lee (Trophy Wife) will also star in his own 1980s-set episode as Andrew, a closeted gay video game addict who gets swept into a new arcade game.
Dimension 404 was created by Dez Dolly and Will Campos, with co-creators Dan Johnson and David Welch.
