The Power cast has been revealing teaser posters for the upcoming third season all week, but it looks like they’ve saved the best for last… and us. EW can exlusively reveal the final poster in the series, an image that shows James “Ghost” St. Patrick (Omari Hardwick) looking deeply chiseled and determined.
He’s also holding a lighter, while the five other posters show characters surrounded by fire. An indication of things, people, and places to go up in flames, perhaps?
Most notable is the poster’s tagline, which reads “Ghosts Never Die,” a riff off the “Ghost Must Die” character posters that cast members Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Naturi Naughton, Lela Loren, Joseph Sikora, and Lucy Walters have shared on their social media pages all week long. Each poster included a reason for that character to want Ghost dead – but, as indicated by the final poster, it seems like the protagonist’s drug-dealing past can’t be erased with sheer will, violence, loyalty, or love.
“Ghost has no idea how to just be James, and how to let go of his Ghost persona entirely. He doesn’t know how to go straight,” creator and showrunner Courtney Kemp previously told EW of Hardwick’s character. “The theme of the season is ‘Be careful what you wish for.’ But is there something within Ghost that keeps him from being that person he wants to be?”
Check out Ghost’s full poster below, as well as the art for each of the show’s five supporting characters. Power’s third season premieres July 17 at 9 p.m. ET on Starz.
