Bryan Cranston, fresh off his Oscar nomination for last year’s Trumbo and glowing reviews for HBO’s Lyndon Johnson biopic All the Way, will be back on movie screens next month in The Infiltrator.
Returning to the world of illegal drugs that rocketed him to TV immortality on Breaking Bad, Cranston here plays the narcotics war from the other side of the looking glass. The four-time Emmy winner stars as real life Special Agent Robert Mazur, who in the 1980s helped take down the cocaine and money laundering empire of Pablo Escobar.
The film was directed by Brad Furman (The Lincoln Lawyer, which also featured Cranston) and costars Diane Kruger (Inglourious Basterds), John Leguizamo (John Wick), and Joe Gilgun (AMC’s Preacher). All of them can be seen in the five exclusive production stills below, along with a behind-the-scenes shot of Cranston, blindfolded on the set right before the camera began rolling.
Check out all six, plus the film’s trailer (above). The Infiltrator is being released by Broad Green Pictures on July 13.
