The Lemonade isn’t cooling Beyoncé off at all. She’s hotter than ever as her latest album reached over one million sales.
This is the sixth album by the singer to reach platinum status by the RIAA. Parkwood and Columbia Records released Lemonade on April 23 as a Tidal exclusive. Along with the album came a short film of the same name that premiered on HBO, giving fans a rich experience of the Grammy-winning artist’s new work. Beginning April 25, the film and album were then sold through other major digital retailers, such as iTunes. And physical copies became available for sale May 6.
The album includes the tracks “Formation,” “Freedom” featuring Kendrick Lamar, and “6 Inch” featuring The Weeknd.
The diva’s 2003 solo album, Dangerously in Love, is to date her highest selling album with 5 million copies. Overall, her album sales have amassed to 17.2 million copies.
Beyoncé is currently on her “Formation World Tour”.
