Spider-Man: Homecoming: Michael Barbieri in talks to join cast

Sundance breakout Michael Barbieri has had a busy year so far.

The 14-year-old actor made his feature film debut just a few months ago in Ira Sachs’ Sundance drama Little Men, and he’s reportedly joined the upcoming Dark Tower movie as Timmy, opposite Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey. Now, EW has confirmed that Barbieri is also in talks to join the cast of Spider-Man: Homecoming in a role that’s yet to be revealed.

Jon Watts is directing the latest Spider-Man movie, with Tom Holland headlining as Peter Parker himself. Marisa Tomei plays Aunt May, while Robert Downey Jr. is set to make an appearance as Iron Man. Michael Keaton is in talks to star as Homecoming’s mystery villain, and Zendaya, Tony Revolori, and Laura Harrier are also on board in unspecified roles.
