Voltron clip: Netflix series assembles robot in new footage

Voltron Force is ready to go when Netflix debuts its new animated series on June 10. Ahead of the premiere, the streaming service offered fans a new look at the mecha-robot action to come with a new clip and sizzle reel.

We’ve already seen teasers and images, but this new footage shows the titular Voltron Legendary Defender assembling to take on a gargantuan baddie. Those around to watch the original cartoon from the ’80s will notice there’s no talk of “form feet and legs” going on.

Elsewhere, IGN was the first to reveal sizzle reel footage screened during a WonderCon panel, highlighting each of the lion robots and their respective pilots. Steven Yeun voices Keith, Jeremy Shada voices Lance, Bex Taylor-Klaus voices Pidge, Josh Keaton voices Shiro, and Tyler Labine voices Hunk.

Voltron Legendary Defender was developed by Joaquim Dos Santos and Lauren Montgomery, who previously worked on Nickelodeon’s Avatar: The Last Airbender and its sequel series The Legend of Korra
