Melissa McCarthy-produced Nobodies gets series order from TV Land

Posted on

TV Land just said yes to a couple of Nobodies. And one of the producers is a very famous somebody.

The network announced on Thursday it has ordered Nobodies, a comedy series executive-produced by Melissa McCarthy and her husband, Ben Falcone. The scripted show, which received a 12-episode first season pick-up, stars Hugh Davidson, Larry Dorf and Rachel Ramras (all three of whom voice characters on Adult Swim’s Mike Tyson Mysteries) as a version of themselves, trying to persuade one of their celebrity pals to sign on to a feature script they have written. Mad TV alum Michael McDonald will serve as showrunner.

The pilot will feature such guest stars as Jason Bateman, Maya Rudolph, Jim Rash, Nat Faxon, and Falcone, who also is directing the episode.

TV Land ordered a pilot for Nobodies at the beginning of the year.
