Kesha isn’t done covering Bob Dylan.
Just a day after her stirring take on “It Ain’t Me, Babe,” the pop singer appeared at Dylan Fest Nashville on Monday night to celebrate the iconic singer-songwriter’s 75th birthday — and to perform “I Shall Be Released.”
The song choice is more of an explicit statement than her Billboard Music Awards performance, with hopeful lyrics foreseeing freedom on the horizon. (Kesha is currently involved in a legal battle with music producer Dr. Luke and his label, Kemosabe.)
Dylan Fest Nashville had a litany of talented performers, including Kurt Vile, Dhani Harrison, Emmylou Harris, Boz Scaggs, and Wynonna Judd.
