Married with Children star David Faustino stopped by the “Allegedly with Theo Von & Matthew Cole Weiss” podcast to tease a possible spin-off featuring cast members from the original series.
The series ran for a decade from 1987 to 1997, garnering 4 Golden Globe nominations. In the wake of Fuller House and Arrested Development finding a home on Netflix, Faustino is hopeful that the streaming service could launch a new iteration of Married with Children.
“I was thinking how fun Married with Children would be on Netflix,” said Faustino. “You could really have some fun there.” All of the principal actors had expressed interest in the project, Faustino said, adding that nothing is set in stone due to some legal red tape. “If they can solve that issue, then it will probably happen,” he said.
He also talked about his encounter with George Harrison of The Beatles, who expressed his adoration for Married costar Christina Applegate, and about the trials of growing up as a child star.
Faustino has recently been lending his voice to the Dreamworks animated series Dragons: Race to the Edge.
