Comedy Central series Another Period renewed for third season

Another Period has been renewed for a third run in advance of its season 2 premiere.

Co-created by and starring Natasha Leggero and Riki Lindhome, the historical satire debuted last June on Comedy Central. It traces the obscenely decadent life of Bellacourt sisters Lillian and Beatrice (Leggero and Lindhome) and their tireless pursuit of stardom, spoofing the famous families that rule reality TV.

The second season promises an upped dose of outrageousness as the Bellacourts seek advice on rebranding, fight infectious diseases, and attempt to ditch their gay husbands in search of new suitors.

Rounding out the series’ ensemble cast are Michael Ian Black, Paget Brewster, Beth Dover, Lauren Flans, Brett Gelman, Christina Hendricks, Alice Hunter, Brian Huskey, David Koechner, Jason Ritter, David Wain, and Armen Weitzman. Perez Hilton, Adam Pally, Missi Pyle, and more are set to guest star during the second season. Jeremy Konner (Drunk History) directs.

“We’d like to thank Comedy Central for this continued opportunity to dress like queens and act like assholes,” Leggero and Lindhome said in a release.

Another Period returns to Comedy Central for season 2 on June 15 at 10 p.m. ET.
