Ellen DeGeneres spoofs Beyoncé's Lemonade

Posted on

Hold up — is that Ellen DeGeneres in Beyoncé’s new visual album? In a new spoof, the host known for inserting herself into major works in pop culture appears in a parked car on the side of the road in Bey’s “Hold Up” video. If you’ve seen the video, you know that cars don’t fare well.

DeGeneres watches on in shock as Beyoncé ambles down the street bashing cars and hydrants with a baseball bat, telling her friend on the phone, “I think Queen B has gone cray cray!” But as the singer begins walking toward DeGeneres’s car, she ends the call and reveals that she’s actually been chatting with Lemonade‘s villain: “Becky, I have to go. I’m gonna call you back, but I do love what you’re doing with your hair; it looks good.”

Soon, Beyoncé is smashing Ellen’s car and DeGeneres attempts to distract the pop star by yelling, “Look, there’s Becky with the good hair!” But actually, it’s Wanda Sykes, who yells, “What? Girl, I’m Wanda with the good weave,” before smashing the camera.
