This post contains spoilers about last week’s episode of Game of Thrones
The cultural event of the week now has its very own Saturday Night Live sketch.
The venerable comedy series took aim at Game of Thrones during Saturday’s episode, spoofing the long-awaited return of Jon Snow to the hit HBO series.
SNL recreated Snow’s resurrection, but added a Greek chorus comprised of two female villagers, played by host Brie Larson and cast member Cecily Strong, who also happen to be huge Thrones fans.
“Let’s wake him up and pop him on a horse and go fight someone or something,” the impatient Strong says in the sketch as Snow’s possible resurrection is discussed at length.
“Because we only get 10 hours a year, people, and we spent two in this room,” adds Larson.
Eventually, Melisandre (Kate McKinnon) resurrects Snow (Pete Davidson), who in this version of events has a first order of business in mind.
“I miss my family. Take me to Bran. I want to see what Bran’s up to,” Snow says.
Larson and Strong’s response: “Aw, nooooo.”
