“Today, my boss fired me via text message. I don’t have a text message plan. So basically, I paid 25 cents to get fired.” This is both a story posted to FMyLife.com, a site dedicated to all those #FML moments, and a song from the fictional country music duo FML Country Singers.
The group is made up of Keith Urban and Jimmy Fallon, who united on The Tonight Show to bring a country twist to real posts from the website. When the late-night show host asked his guest how his day went, Urban said, “Not good. I’ll tell you about it.”
Listen to them sing about a stranger peeing on a garden gnome, a depressing yearbook typo, and more.
This is a different vibe than what Urban displayed on his latest album, Ripcord, but perhaps Fallon would make a good opener for him on tour this summer.
