Wiz Khalifa and Snoop Dogg aren’t exactly going for subtlety with their summer tour, The High Road Tour. The frequent collaborators have sung about their love for a certain leafy green time and time again, and unsurprisinlgy, it was while enjoying a smoking session with each other that the rappers came up with the idea for a co-headlining tour. Khalifa gave EW the scoop on the tour’s smoky inception on the red carpet at Live Nation’s National Concert Day on Tuesday.

“Me and [Snoop Dogg], we just come up with crazy ideas sittin’ around smoking, so that was one of the things we smoked up and made a reality,” Khalifa said of the upcoming tour. “And fans can just expect the best of the best. I’m the leader of the young generation and he’s the OG supreme leader, so it’s going to be good for everybody.”

Later that night, Khalifa welcomed Snoop Dogg to the stage and the pair performed their hit 2011 collaboration “Young, Wild & Free” for the crowd. Before the performance, Khalifa shouted to the audience, “We gonna legalize weed this year, man!”

As for other projects, Khalifa is also working on Rolling Papers 2, a follow-up to his 2011 album, Rolling Papers. “I’m working on it really hard, working on it every day,” Khalifa said. When asked what fans can expect to hear on the new disc, the rapper had only two words: “Smooth grooves.”

The High Road national tour kicks off July 20, and will feature openers Kevin Gates, Jhené Aiko, Casey Veggies, and DJ Drama.
