CBS is keeping its daytime lineup solid through 2017. The network announced Wednesday that it is renewing its full slate of daytime talk shows, game shows, and soap operas for at least another season.
With the daytime powerhouse having already picked up The Price is Right and The Young and the Restless, its renewals of The Talk, Let’s Make a Deal, and The Bold and the Beautiful complete its roster of daytime shows. Of course, most of these series are already long-running, as The Young and the Restless enters its 19th season, and The Price is Right goes into its 44th. Even the youngest of these shows, The Talk, is well-established going into season 7.
“Each year, CBS Daytime produces more than 1,000 episodes of programming — the most for any broadcast network — which is only possible due to the incredible passion of the industry’s best creative talent, both in front of and behind the camera,” said Angelica McDaniel, CBS’s executive vice president of daytime programs. “Our loyal audience has made CBS Daytime the No. 1 daily destination for millions of viewers, and we thank them for contributing to this phenomenal success. Next year will be even bigger and bolder!”
