Lemonade: Beyonce album praised by celebs on social media

HBO

Everyone in your Twitter feed wasn’t alone in going wild over Beyoncé’s Lemonade release on Saturday night — celebrities participated in the group praise for Beyoncé as well.

“Dust to side chicks,” Shonda Rhimes wrote on Twitter, quoting Beyoncé. “Middle fingers up. Serena [Williams] werking. (If I needed anything after this week, it is Bey.)”

Lemonade, a visual album and Beyoncé’s latest surprise release, included appearances from Williams, Amandla Stenberg, and Zendaya, all of whom commented on its release. Non-participants who were bowled over by Bey included Rhimes, Anna Kendrick, Janet Mock, and more. Even Beyoncé’s sister Solange dropped her thoughts (sent via emoji).

Twitter announced Sunday that there were 1.8 million tweets globally about the HBO special (measuring messages sent between 6 p.m. and 2 a.m. ET). Ahead, what celebrities thought of Lemonade.
