Winningest Voice coach Blake Shelton has released “Savior’s Shadow,” another new song from his upcoming studio album If I’m Honest, and it’s a hymn-esque ode to the singer’s faith.

“Savior’s Shadow” sees the country crooner taking a step back from the pop-tinged sounds of If I’m Honest lead single, “Came Here to Forget,” released in March, instead opting for string-heavy composition on the somber tune.

“Though the Devil tried to break me/my sweet Jesus won’t forsake me/When I’m in my savior’s shadow/where I’m supposed to be,” Shelton sings.

Fans responded positively to the track on Twitter, with Shelton tweeting he has “never experienced this kind of reaction to a song” throughout his career.
