As they say in the Iron Islands, “what is dead may never die,” and that’s true for Game of Thrones vet Padro Pascal. Finding new life on Netflix’s Narcos following Oberyn Martell‘s graphic exit, the actor now joins the cast of the Kingsman sequel, a rep for Fox confirmed to EW.
Deadline was the first to report the news and stated Pascal will be playing a character named Jack Daniels.
Reprising his role of Eggsy, Taron Egerton revealed the film’s official title (Kingsman: The Golden Circle) through a new poster this week. The one-sheet teased the return of Colin Firth’s Harry Hart, whose fate seemed sealed after the first film. Julianne Moore is also in talks to join as a newcomer.
Last year, Matthew Vaughn, who directed the first film, told USA Today, “A lot of people are very upset that Colin might not be in the sequel but I’m coming up with ideas at the moment. If people buy tickets in America, I’ve got a feeling we’ll figure out a way for having Colin back.”
Kingsman: The Golden Circle is scheduled for theaters on June 16, 2017.
