Blake Shelton's Angry Birds song Friends: Watch the video

Posted on

Ahead of his role as a playful pig named Earl in the upcoming animated film The Angry Birds Movie, Blake Shelton has shared the video of his song for the movie, “Friends.”

Building upon the track’s joyful camaraderie, the country idol invites his feathery new pals to the studio for the clip. He does his best not to be distracted by the wide-eyed birds’ buffoonery, choking back laughter as he belts out a lively take of the banjo-heavy cut alongside his band.

When Angry Birds hits theaters May 20, Shelton will join a star-studded cast that includes Jason Sudeikis, Maya Rudolph, Bill Hader, Peter Dinklage, Kate McKinnon, Sean Penn, and Hannibal Buress, among others. In the film, the Hollywood heavy-hitters will voice a troop of tropical birds inspired by the massively popular video game of the same name.
