'The West Wing' reunion coming to ATX Festival

Updated

Patrick Ecclesine/Warner Bros.

The West Wing is going to take up residency at the ATX Television Festival this summer.

The producers and cast of NBC’s former Emmy-winning drama series will reunite for a panel at the fan conference that marks the 10-year reunion of the show’s finale. The panel will feature creator Aaron Sorkin and producer-director Thomas Schlamme, along with cast members Bradley Whitford, Dule Hill, Joshua Malina, Richard Schiff, and Janel Moloney (with potentially more to come).

Also among the new (and new-ish) announcements at the festival:

— USA’s new drama Queen of the South, starring Alice Braga as a woman who takes over her murdered boyfriend’s drug trade, will kick things off opening night with a premiere screening and panel.

— EW will present an Ugly Betty 10-year reunion event on closing night (more details on that here). Star America Ferrera will also have a panel for her current NBC comedy Superstore

— Actor Denis Leary take place in a reunion panel for FX’s Rescue Me and for a panel promoting his current series Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll

The ATX Television Festival is in its fifth year and runs from June 9–12 in Austin.
