'Kingsman' sequel teases return of Colin Firth

He’s alive!?

Posted on

Remember when Valentine (Samuel L. Jackson) shot secret agent Harry Hart (Colin Firth) in Kingsman: The Secret Service? Well, apparently the point-blank shot to the face might not have been as lethal as it appeared.

Kingsman star Taron Egerton tweeted a message Thursday that seems to suggest Harry is alive, and may appear in the upcoming sequelKingsman: The Golden Circle.

“Reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated,” reads the image Egerton shared. The text is beneath a pair of glasses with one lense knocked out, which is likely a reference to Harry being shot in the eye while wearing his signature specs in Kingsman: The Secret Service. At the bottom of the image, “Kingsman: The Golden Circle” is written in gilded lettering. Egerton captioned the photo, “A message from an old friend. #Kingsman.”

Firth’s character of Harry was created before the idea of making a sequel came up. His tough but caring mentorship and beautiful action scenes made Harry a favorite in the original film, but his death had fans facing the fact that they wouldn’t see him again in upcoming iterations. Thankfully, now it appears that the filmmakers are going to find a way to Agent Coulson his death and have him back for more movies in the Kingsman franchise.

Do you have any ideas on how Harry could have survived this? (WARNING: Image NSFW)
