Carrie Underwood reacts to Garth Brooks and Mike Fisher duet

Carrie Underwood’s house is pretty much Garth Brooks fan club HQ, but her husband, NHL player Mike Fisher, managed to make her green with fangirl jealousy Wednesday night.

“Soooo this happened tonight!!!” Fisher posted on Instagram alongside a video of himself singing with Garth Brooks. “@garthbrooks is the best!”

In the clip, the country star is holding his guitar and waving. “I’m going to send this out to my sweetheart, my girlfriend, Carrie Underwood. Carrie, little song for you,” he says before launching into “The River.” After a few lines, Fisher chimes in for a few bars (and he doesn’t sound half bad!).

“How is it that my hubby, @mfisher1212 gets to sing with THE @garthbrooks before I do?” she asked on Instagram alongside a longer version of the video of Fisher harmonizing with Brooks. “As payback, I think I’ll try to see if Wayne Gretzky wants to play a pick up hockey game sometime!”

This isn’t the first time the happy couple, who are parents to 13-month-old Isaiah, have expressed their love for Brooks. Just a few months ago, Underwood posted a video of Fisher singing along to Brooks’ “The River” on the radio. “#IAlwaysWantedToMarryGarth,” she teased. “@mfisher1212 duet coming soon…”

Needless to say, we’re looking forward to that video of Carrie and The Great One hitting the ice.
