Every day is Wednesday for a new set of pink-clad figurines based on characters from Mean Girls.
Toy brand Funko announced plans to shrink The Plastics into miniature form with a four-set of statuettes bearing resemblance to the cast of the 2004 comedy, including Regina George (Rachel McAdams), Cady Heron (Lindsay Lohan), Karen Smith (Amanda Seyfried), and Gretchen Wieners (Lacey Chabert).
Tina Fey, who wrote the screenplay for and starred in Mean Girls, declined the opportunity to star in a sequel, but she’s currently working on a stage adaptation of the film set to feature Broadway-style musical numbers composed by her husband, Jeff Richmond.
Funko has also made dolls based on characters from The Walking Dead, The Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, Bob’s Burgers, and numerous other popular franchises in the past.
The brand will release its Mean Girls figurines in May.
