MAC Cosmetics is boldly going into the Star Trek universe with a cosmetics line celebrating the famed film and TV franchise’s 50th anniversary.
The 25-piece collection of lip, eye, and face products is inspired by female Trek characters Seven of Nine, Deanna Troi, Uhura, and Vina, the Orion girl.
“Star Trek is an iconic pop culture phenomenon whose storylines pushed gender and racial boundaries,” MAC creative director James Gager said in a statement. “For its 50th anniversary, we celebrate each of Star Trek‘s powerful women in a transcending, transformational makeup collection.”
The Star Trek-themed line will be available online on Aug. 25 and in stores on Sept. 1, but fans at San Diego Comic-Con can get their hands on the products early. Before its August launch, there will be an exclusive one-day presale on July 21 at the MAC Cosmetics store in San Diego’s Gaslamp district.
MAC previously teamed with The Simpsons for a cosmetics collection that launched at Comic-Con in 2014.
Star Trek will be back in theaters later this year with Star Trek Beyond, out July 22.
