Meghan Trainor continues to bring the sass on her latest single, “Watch Me Do.” The same week the Grammy Best New Artist winner showed off her moves in her new video for “No,” she exudes self-confidence on the new pop cut.
Just like “No,” “Watch Me Do” promotes Trainor’s messages of female empowerment. The 22-year-old singer peppers her new song with some hip-hop and doesn’t play the modesty card. “I ain’t saying I’m the bestess/But I got nice curves, nice breasteses,” Trainor sings.

And the Massachusetts native makes it clear she’s done with anyone who doesn’t support her. “I’ve been on a low-hater diet,” Trainor repeats.

“Watch Me Do” is off her forthcoming album Thank You, and when speaking to EW about the collection, Trainor said, “People told me, ‘Don’t do what they expect.’ I’ve put some doo-wop on it. And Ricky Reed and Jay Cash and some other writers helped me unlock this world of funk—it’s a new sound I’m excited about. It sounds like the girl version of a Bruno Mars record. It’s kind of a throwback.”
