Could Iggy Pop’s just-released, Josh Homme-produced album Post Pop Depression be the last collection we’ll get from the rock legend? That’s the rumor — and certainly the singer doesn’t seem to be in any rush to return to the studio.

“It’s not as if I see myself getting up every morning for the rest of my life and saying, ‘Let’s make another album!'” explains Pop. “This is a really bloody good, motherf–king album and I’m not in a hurry to think about any other goddamned album. Because I like this album. So, don’t make me make any other f–king albums!”

Then again…

“I’ll tell you what,” continues the “Lust for Life” vocalist. “If they make me the president and chairman of Entertainment Weekly, I’ll record a special album about each member of the office team. ‘Clark’ will be the first track. But I don’t think it would compare with the grandeur of Post Pop Depression.”
