PICK OF THE NIGHT

Everything Is Copy: A Candid Portrait of Nora Ephron

HBO, 9 p.m.

“When you slip on the banana peel, people laugh at you. But when you tell people you slipped on the banana peel, it’s your laugh. So you become the hero, rather than the victim of the joke.” That was Nora Ephron’s life philosophy, as illustrated by this intimate documentary about the late writer, director, and cocktail-party-goer’s fascinating life. Directed by her son Jacob Bernstein, the warts-and-all movie features interviews with old friends and colleagues like Meryl Streep, Tom Hanks, Mike Nichols, and Steven Spielberg, who says making Nora laugh “was like winning an Oscar.”

RUG CUTTERS

Dancing With the Stars

ABC, 8 p.m.

The show returns with a whole ballroom full of new stars and returning favorites. Exciting entrants in that “new” category include Donald Trump’s ex-wife Marla Maples and former O.C. star Mischa Barton (though, sadly, no Seth Cohen in the mix). Get all the intel on the entire cast here.

PARENT TRAP

Teen Mom 2

MTV, 10 p.m.

This is the show’s 14th season, meaning the series itself is a teenager as well.

BUILT FORD TOUGH

Jimmy Kimmel Live!

ABC, 11:35 p.m.

Harrison Ford, who is hands-down Hollywood’s most indefatigable action star, joins Kimmel tonight. Will Ford discuss the upcoming fifth Indiana Jones movie, or the most recent Star Wars one? Or will he throw us all for a loop and just talk about Witness the whole time?
