Justin Timberlake took a break from helming the upcoming Trolls soundtrack to join Little Big Town in the studio, he revealed in an Instagram post over the weekend. “NBD… Just writing with @littlebigtown,” he captioned a photo with members Kimberly Schlapman and Karen Fairchild. “This band is the truth!! So good!!!!”
Although Timberlake’s known chiefly for R&B and pop, the Memphis-born singer recently veered into country territory when he performed a memorable duet with Chris Stapleton at 2015’s CMA Awards. His most recent album was 2013’s two-part 20/20 Experience.
Little Big Town have won multiple awards on the country music circuit since releasing their second album, Road to Here, in 2005. Just this past February, the quartet won the Best Country Group Performance Grammy for 2014’s “Girl Crush.” See the shot from their writing session with Timberlake below.
