Transparent creator Jill Soloway is deepening her ties to Amazon Studios with the news that she’s set to co-write and direct an upcoming drama for the streaming service, EW has confirmed.
Soloway – whose drama series has proved a hit for Amazon since its 2014 premiere — will helm Ten Aker Wood, which features a woman, who recently separated, leaves her home in Los Angeles for northern California, where settles on a marijuana farm, and falls in love with a biker.
The Golden Globe and Emmy Award winner will co-write Ten Aker Wood with Sarah Grubbins, with whom she’s also set to pen the upcoming Amazon pilot, I Love Dick.
It’s the latest in a string of projects for the former Six Feet Under producer. In addition to helming Transparent‘s second season, Soloway produced the web series The Skinny, which premiered on Refinery 29 in January. Soloway also produced Cuddle Party, a comedic short starring Michaela Watkins and Rob Huebel, which premiered at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival earlier this year.
