NBC; Everett Collection

Curly Sue is all grown up, and spoiler: She can sing.

Former child star Alisan Porter, best known for playing the title character in Curly Sue, shocked The Voice judges in a new clip from season 10. In her blind audition, Porter earns a four-chair turn — and a standing ovation — for her performance of “Blue Bayou.”

“I was an actress when I was very young. It’s not my passion. This is my passion,” Porter said, before revealing she played Curly Sue.

Asked by judge Pharrell Williams about her path to singing, Porter said, “I was going through a hard time in life, and I actually got sober almost eight years ago. I fell in love and I had children, and that was my goal: to be a good mom. I really feel like the universe just had a plan for me, because you guys turned for me today.”

The Voice season 10 premieres Monday, at 8 p.m. ET on NBC; check out Porter’s performance below.
