Maria Bamford is helming her own Netflix series, and the comedian announced on Tuesday morning that Lady Dynamite will begin streaming on May 20.

This is not Bamford’s first collaboration with Netflix. In 2012, she released her stand-up special The Special Special Special on the service, and she did voice work on the most recent season of the Netflix original series BoJack Horseman. Furthermore, her co-executive producer on Lady Dynamite is Mitch Hurwitz, who brought Arrested Development to Netflix for its fourth season and featured Bamford in a recurring role.

Though Bamford has proven her comedic talents as a stand-up for years, and had memorable guest spots on various sitcoms, Lady Dynamite will be her first starring role in a series.

After tweeting her show’s premiere date and confirming that it will include 12 episodes, Bamford posted short videos of her family members and husband talking about the upcoming series.
