The Tonight Show may reside in New York now, but it used to be a fixture of L.A., and Jimmy Fallon is making a brief, star-studded return to the City of Angels for a week of shows. He kicked off his vacation on Monday night’s show with an homage to LL Cool J’s “Going Back to Cali” music video.

The black-and-white segment remade the shots of LL Cool J’s original video, but Fallon changed the lyrics to explain the move. “New York’s snowin’, it’s cold and icy, sometimes you just gotta get away,” Fallon rapped. “The party never ends, so tell your friends The Tonight Show‘s back in L.A.” The video segment featured appearances from both The Roots and LL Cool J himself.
