Hello, it’s the most anticipated photo of the Grammys: Lionel Richie posing with Adele.

After much back and forth in the press, Richie and Adele finally met backstage at Monday’s award show. Both have songs title “Hello” — maybe you heard Adele’s version once or twice — and after the British singer’s came out in 2015, Richie spoke about wanting to collab with her on a project.

“We are going to be doing something together — that’s already almost in the works,” he told E! News. “Her mission is [to] get her record out and go on tour, so until she finishes that cycle, that won’t happen just yet. She is committed to that.” He also posted a mash-up of their two songs to Instagram back in October.

Before the Grammys he spoke about wanting to meet her in a pre-show special. “I’m looking for her,” he said. “My opening line is going to be ‘Hello, it’s me.’ And she’s gonna say, ‘Is it me you’re looking for?'”

No word on what was actually said between them, but don’t they look pleased?

Both Adele and Richie performed during the Grammys. Adele played “All I Ask” off 25 amid technical difficulties (she said a piano mic fell on the piano during the song); Richie was honored with a tribute performed with Luke Bryan, Tyrese, Demi Lovato, John Legend, and Meghan Trainor.
