Boris Kodjoe is joining CBS medical drama Code Black in a recurring role as the charmping Dr. Will Campbell, the network announced Friday.
Code Black premiered this past September and follows a group of doctors trying their best to operate in a hospital without enough resources. Marcia Gay Harden, Bonnie Somerville, Raza Jaffrey, Luiz Guzmán, Melanie Chandra, Harry Ford, Benjamin Hollingsworth, and William Allen Young star.

“We couldn’t be more excited to have Boris Kodjoe join the Code Black family,” executive producer Michael Seitzman said in a statement. “He comes in as Dr. Will Campbell, a well-respected surgeon with an arrogant edge. He’s a character viewers will love, but also love to hate.”
Kodjoe previously starred in Showtime’s Soul Food, a drama that ran for five seasons from 2000 to 2004, and more recently has appeared on TV shows like Undercovers, Real Husbands of Hollywood, and The Last Man on Earth.
Kodjoe will make his debut on the show Feb. 3. Watch Code Black when it airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET.
