Amy Schumer hit up the 2016 Golden Globes as a double nominee thanks to her work on Trainwreck, but it’s only just the beginning. The comic told EW and PEOPLE on the red carpet Sunday about her upcoming collaboration with Jennifer Lawrence.
“The three of us wrote it together,” Schumer said, referring to her sister and co-writer, Kim Caremele. She continued, “We’re so proud of the script. We’re excited about it.”
Both Schumer and Lawrence took the stage during the Globes to introduce clips from Trainwreck and Joy. Lawrence previously teased that their joint venture would be a comedy about two sisters, one of whom pursues her dream of being a flight attendant. Earlier, she said, “We have an official first draft. I am going to try and fit that somewhere into my ghoulish schedule. We’re going to try to do that pretty soon.”
Meanwhile, Schumer is also busy welcoming the new man in her life into the public spotlight. “I’ve never dated anyone that the public’s really known about, but I like that everyone thinks I’ve been single my whole life,” she said on Sunday. “They’re like, ‘She got her first boyfriend.’ I’m like, ‘No, I’ve dated people over the years.'”
