Golden Globes 2016: Powerball discussed in video

There still hasn’t been a winning ticket for the Powerball jackpot, which puts the current prize upwards of $1 billion. That’s a big number for everyone, so EW and PEOPLE took the opportunity at the Golden Globes red carpet Sunday to ask celebrities what they might do with such a large windfall of cash.

American Crime star Regina King said she would buy the Golden Globes and run the awards show herself, while The Affair winner Maura Tierney had more political goals.

“I would run for president against Trump,” Tierney said. “I would have as much money as him, so I’d use it for that.”

There are some things, however, that even $1.3 billion can’t buy. Star Wars: Rogue One star Ben Mendelsohn doesn’t even think it would cover the cost of an X-Wing. 

“I think you’d have to win that Powerball two or three times,” Mendelsohn said.

And as for Amy Schumer? “Can you imagine how annoyed people would be if I won the Powerball?” Schumer, one of EW’s Entertainers of the Year, said.
