Posted on

Shortly after the Independent Game Festival Awards’ nominees were announced, the Game Developers Conference has unveiled the GDC Awards nominees, with Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and The Witcher 3 leading the pack.

Both games have received four nominations for the upcoming 16th Game Developers Choice Awards, each being named as Game of the Year nominees. They both face off against Fallout 4, Bloodborne, and Rocket League in that category.

EW named MGS V the best game of 2015, while The Game Awards bestowed that honor on The Witcher 3. Six games were nominated three times each, including Bloodborne, Fallout 4, Her Story, and Splatoon.
