The new year brings a new role for model Kelly Rohrbach, who will take on the part of CJ Parker in the upcoming Baywatch movie. Dwayne Johnson, who will star in the reboot, shared the casting news on Instagram Monday.
“Yes, she’s a walking smoke stack but more importantly… she’s smart, tough and funny. Just the way we like ’em,” Johnson captioned a picture of himself and Rohrbach. “Get ready world, we can’t wait to bring you our generation’s #BAYWATCH! You’ll have fun.”
A pleasure welcoming @kellyrohrbach to our #BAYWATCH family for the iconic role of "CJ Parker". Yes, she's a walking smoke stack but more importantly… she's smart, tough and funny. Just the way we like 'em. Get ready world, we can't wait to bring you our generation's #BAYWATCH! You'll have fun… 👊🏾🔥💯👙🍆 (last emoji somewhat inappropriate).
Rohrbach has appeared on Two and a Half Men, Rizzoli & Isles, and, most recently, the CW Seed series The P.E.T. Squad Files. Before she fills Pamela Anderson’s shoes as CJ, Johnson put the 25 year-old model’s slow motion beach running skills to the test.

Along with Johnson, Zac Efron and Alexandra Daddario have signed on for the film, which will be directed by Seth Gordon (Horrible Bosses). The plot reportedly centers around a young lifeguard (Efron) who doesn’t want to follow the rules of the force when he teams up with a veteran guard played by Johnson.
Beau Flynn and Ivan Reitman are set to produce, and production is expected to begin early this year.
