Star Wars Stayin' Alive supercut on The Tonight Show

Posted on

Lucasfilm

Save for on occasional visit to a cantina or Jabba the Hutt’s palace, there’s rarely a time when the characters of Star Wars should be dancing. So Jimmy Fallon decided to give the entire galaxy a case of night fever.

Though it may sound like jive talking, Fallon and The Tonight Show‘s crew put together a supercut of the galaxy far, far away’s most popular characters talk-singing along to the tune of the Bee Gee’s “Stayin’ Alive.” No one quite matches the falsetto highs of the Brothers Gibb, save for Salacious B. Crumb’s maniacal laugh, but everyone from Luke to Leia to Darth Maul pitches in to stop the whole affair from being a tragedy.

(If you’re wondering why “Stayin’ Alive” was chosen for the cut, Fallon’s only explanation is that because Star Wars: The Force Awakens broke box office record after box office record, the franchise is, whether it’s a brother or whether it’s a mother, stayin’ alive.)

So no matter how deep your love is for Star Wars (or the Bee Gees), check out the supercut below.
