House of Cards: GOP debate announcement to be made by Frank Underwood

Posted on

The Republican candidates appearing at Tuesday’s debate aren’t the only ones making a run for the White House: Placeholder president Frank Underwood will soon make an announcement of his own.

On Tuesday morning, the official Twitter account for Netflix’s House of Cards revealed that a “special announcement” will come during the debate, though it was not specified what we can expect. Given that neither a trailer nor a premiere date have been set for season 4, it’s safe to assume that either one or both will come during the evening’s proceedings.

The season 3 trailer for House of Cards was released last January during the Golden Globes, so it might be too soon yet for a sneak peek at what’s to come from the next installment of the Emmy-winning series.

Tuesday’s GOP debate kicks off at 8:30 p.m. ET on CNN.
