Pearl Jam manager Kelly Curtis took the opportunity during a live Twitter chat on Friday to announce the band’s plans for a tour in 2016.
When asked about North American tour plans by a fan early on, Curtis wrote, “We will announce some tour dates first part of the year.” He further teased a stop in the New England-Massachusetts area, though remarked official details will be posted on PearlJam.com.

Elsewhere in the chat, Curtis said there are plans to commemorate Pearl Jam’s 25th anniversary. The band marked its 20th with a three-day festival, but Curtis tweeted he “can’t say anything yet.” He later teased the band is “always in and out of the studio and constantly writing,” though bassist Jeff Ament said nothing for a new studio album has been recorded yet.
Oct. 22 marked the 25th anniversary of Pearl Jam’s first set of eight songs in Seattle in 1990. Watch a video of the band’s performance above.
