Between the original Star Wars and its sequel, The Empire Strikes Back, an unholy Star Wars holiday special was conceived. Among other things, the one-off was about Chewbacca trying to get back to his home planet to celebrate Life Day, a non-specific holiday created for the show, which is also known for the introduction of Boba Fett and a cameo from Beatrice Arthur.

The new Hypothetical Star Wars Holiday Special swaps in BB-8 for Chewbacca, as he and Kylo Ren try to get home for Droid Day. The format mirrors the original with precision, including a musical performance and a crudely animated short. There’s even a cameo to rival Bea Arthur.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens is out on Dec. 18.
