At the rate 25 is selling, Adele could sell water to a well. Nielsen Music indicates that the pop star’s third studio album has sold more than 5 million copies in the United States alone, according to Billboard.

The first week of sales for 25 was stratospheric, shipping 3.38 million copies and 3.48 million equivalent album units, shattering *NSYNC’s 15-year record for first-week sales.
