[SPOILER ALERT: Read on only if you have already watched Wednesday’s episode of Survivor: Cambodia—Second Chance.]
There was a scary moment on last week’s Survivor: Cambodia—Second Chance when contestant Joe Anglim collapsed in the middle of a challenge. This week, we learned that challenges at sea can be just as dangerous as ones on land.
Tasha Fox had to be rescued by the Survivor safety department and then examined by the show’s medical team after she called for help as a result of exhaustion and swallowing water while trying to retrieve a key attached to a buoy during the immunity competition. After being brought to a platform by a scuba-equipped crew member, she was cared for by the omnipresent Dr. Joe and then brought to shore.
The next question was whether she would also suffer Joe’s same fate of being voted out immediately after by the tribe, but she was spared that indignity when Spencer aligned with Jeremy, Kimmi, and her to take out Abi instead — which served as something of a shock considering you would figure Abi to be someone everybody wanted to sit next to at the end.
In other news, Keith won the reward challenge and promptly forgot Tasha’s name, Spencer added another notch to his résumé by winning his second individual immunity, and Stephen Fishbach wore a hideous shirt to Tribal Council, apparently in some misguided attempt to outdo Savage’s awful hat. That leaves six players — Spencer, Jeremy, Kelley, Kimmi, Tasha, and Keith — still vying for the million dollars as we head into next week’s three hour finale/reunion. The first three of those people would seem to be the favorites to take the Sole Survivor title and the check that goes with it.
My full recap will be up at midnight, and we also will have Jeff Probst’s reaction to the latest incident requiring medical assistance, but you can sound off right here with your thoughts on the episode.
