Topless mermaids, drive-by shootings, and the crime of the century — all in a day’s work for Jack Healy (Russell Crowe) in Shane Black’s forthcoming The Nice Guys.
“If you have trouble with someone, you might ask for me,” Jack declares in the red-band trailer for the crime comedy.
The plot kicks into higher gear when Jack confronts Holland March (Ryan Gosling) in a public restroom in hopes of bringing him in on his latest case. And since Holland can’t figure out how to close the door, the “worst detective in the world” gets suckered into helping stop the mafia from spreading to 1977 Los Angeles.
