Fuller House: Candace Cameron Bure hints at future relationship for D.J. and Steve

‘She’s thinking about dating,’ the actress says of her widowed character

As Fuller House‘s 2016 Netflix debut draws near, cast members are dropping more and more hints about what the future holds for the Tanner family. One big question on fans’ minds: Will D.J. and Steve finally get together after all these years?

We already know D.J. (Candace Cameron Bure) is widowed, and that Scott Weigner — the actor who played her boyfriend for five years on the original series — has been on the Fuller House set.

“Steve makes a few appearances on the show,” Cameron Bure confirms to EW. “I’m sure they talk about old love, and listen, D.J. is widowed and it’s been a while since her husband passed away. She’s thinking about dating.”
