Uncharted fans looking to dive into the upcoming installment’s multiplayer have a chance to join the fray a day early, as the Uncharted 4 multiplayer beta is now available.
Originally scheduled for release on Dec. 4, Sony has released the beta a day early, allowing anyone who purchased a copy of Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection for the PlayStation 4 to play. A physical or digital copy of the collection will work, and all worldwide players will be able to access the beta for download now.
Progress from the beta will not translate to the full game when it releases next year, but players can try out Team Deathmatch on two maps, Island and Madagascar City. Players can control a number of iconic Uncharted characters, including Nathan Drake, Sully, Elena, Katherine Marlow, and more while testing out the multiplayer’s new Mysticals and Sidekicks features. For more on the challenges, beta points, and more that fill out the beta experience, check out the PlayStation Blog’s breakdown of what’s available in the beta.
The beta will run through Dec. 13, while Uncharted 4 is currently set to release in full for the PlayStation 4 on March 18, 2016. For more on Uncharted and Sony’s other upcoming titles, stay tuned for coverage of this weekend’s PlayStation Experience.
