Mark Hamill has been notoriously absent from any trailers for the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens. But if a new Star Wars charity video is any indication, he may have been hiding in plain sight — disguised as a stormtrooper.
Luke Skywalker himself recently donned a stormtrooper helmet and wandered around Hollywood Boulevard to encourage people to donate to charity for a chance to win a trip to the Force Awakens premiere. Out on the streets of Los Angeles, he met some big Star Wars fans, including Darth Vader, Chewbacca, and a woman who’d really love to meet Mark Hamilton.
“The last time anybody saw me in a stormtrooper outfit was when we rescued the princess on the Death Star,” Hamill says.
As part of a campaign by charity company Omaze, Star Wars fans who donate at least $10 earn a chance to win tickets to the Force Awakens premiere in either London or Los Angeles, where they’ll get to see the movie, walk the red carpet, and meet the Force Awakens cast, including a helmet-less Hamill.
