Pretty cool, huh? Users who search for Star Wars’ intro phrase see their screen transformed into a version of the films’ iconic opening crawl, complete with yellow text on a starry black background. There’s even a button to toggle the series’ main theme, so you too can feel like you’re on board a rebel blockade runner instead of sitting at your desk.
Clay Bavor, Google’s VP of product management, announced in a blog post yesterday that because the company is staffed by a bunch of Star Wars superfans, Google teamed up with Lucasfilm and Disney to roll out a galaxy’s worth of Easter eggs and new features, with more to come between now and Dec. 18, when Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits theaters.
