The director and star of War for the Planet of the Apes want you to appear in the upcoming sequel, and it will take some serious monkey business to earn that honor.
Matt Reeves and Andy Serkis, who plays Caesar in the Planet of the Apes films, teased a contest on Sunday night, in which one lucky winner will earn an on-camera role in War. The caveat to that role being that the winner’s face won’t be seen, as he or she will be playing a motion captured ape in a scene.
As announced during Sunday’s episode of The Walking Dead, fans can enter at apescontest.com, where the major requirement is including a video of “your most life-like ape imitation.” The winner will fly to set, dress up in a mo-cap suit and “become an ape in Caesar’s greatest battle yet.”
Watch the announcement below, which includes the first second or two of official footage of the film (albeit before any apes have been generated into the scene), and head over to the official website to enter.
War for the Planet of the Apes will hit theaters on July 14, 2017.
